How it compares with other price checkers

How it works

  1. Install it

Download and run the installer. Windows doesn't know it yet and may say “Windows protected your PC”: click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. No administrator rights needed.

  2. Point at an item and press Ctrl+E

In your inventory, your stash or a vendor's window. The game must be in Windowed or Windowed Fullscreen mode: over exclusive Fullscreen, Windows shows no other programs.

  3. See the price over the game

A panel opens next to your inventory or stash: the cheapest similar items on the official trade site, and for currency, the price from trades on the game's exchange. Esc closes it.

You need Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), Path of Exile 2 with the English or Russian client, and an internet connection. Full install guide

What it does

PoE2 Oracle runs in the background. The price panel opens over the game only when you press the hotkey. The XP overlay is always in view: it shows right on the game's HUD, looks like part of it, and can be turned off in the settings. To see prices, you don't need to sign in to pathofexile.com or open a browser.

Price check: Know the price without leaving the game

Point at an item and press Ctrl+E: the panel shows the cheapest similar listings on the official trade site, with their price, seller and age. The item's modifiers become search filters with their tiers: pick how strictly to search and adjust the minimum and maximum.

  • Searches the English or the Russian trade site, to match your client
  • Hover a listing to see it in a tooltip like the game's, its modifiers compared with yours
  • If you need to deal with the seller in the game, a click on the listing copies a message for them: paste it into chat and send it. Instant Buyout listings, which the check searches by default, are bought with no messages

Currency market: Currency priced from real exchange trades

Currency, omens, runes, essences and everything else traded on the game's Currency Exchange are priced from the trades made on the exchange itself, which GGG publishes. The price shows at once, with no wait for the trade site.

  • The price in divine, exalted and chaos orbs from the latest hour of trading (up to three hours for something rarely traded), the hourly volume and what your whole stack is worth
  • Beside it, a seven-day price chart from poe2scout
  • Unique items, and exchange items nobody traded in the last hours, are priced from poe2scout

Craft of Exile: Your item in Craft of Exile in one click, from either client

The Craft of Exile ↗ link on the price panel opens the item in Craft of Exile's crafting simulator with its base, item level, rarity, implicits and mods already set. Craft of Exile itself reads only the English client's text, so PoE2 Oracle sends the game's own codes instead of text: they're the same in every language, so an item from the Russian client arrives just as one from the English client does.

  • Normal, magic and rare gear, flasks, charms, jewels and waystones get the link. Uniques, currency, gems, relics, tablets and unidentified items don't
  • If the app doesn't know for sure which mod it is in the game, it leaves it out rather than guess
  • If the app speaks Russian, Craft of Exile opens in Russian too

XP overlay: Levelling speed and a map timer right on the game's HUD

Two plates right on the game's HUD, in its own frames and colours. Above the flask panel: how fast you gain experience and when the next level comes at that speed. Above the skill panel: a timer for the current map.

  • Time and experience of the current map, and your average time per map
  • Time in towns and hideouts stays out of the speed: there the line dims and shows only how much of the level you have
  • The app takes experience from the XP bar on screen and from the log file the game keeps

Settings and quick actions: Make it yours, and send /hideout with one key

Pick the league, the hotkey, which sellers to search by default (Instant Buyout, online or all) and the interface scale. Quick actions send a chat command such as /hideout, or type a stash search, on a key of your choice: one press, one command.

Fast and light

PoE2 Oracle is an ordinary Windows program with no browser built in, and its whole interface is drawn by the graphics card. After launch it runs as one process and uses less memory than other price checkers, and while you play it puts less load on the CPU.

  • less memory after launch than other price checkers
  • less CPU load while you play
  • process instead of
Measured on one PC on . Memory, as Task Manager shows it, and processes: a few minutes after launch, while the program waits for a price check, each program on its own. CPU load: while playing, with all four programs running at once. How it was measured, in detail

PoE Overlay II runs only on Overwolf, whose processes count as its own, and it shows banner ads with an offer of Premium to remove them; the other apps showed none.

Quick to start, quick to price

  • from launch to ready to price
  • from Ctrl+E to the panel; currency and other exchange items are priced at once, with no wait for the trade site
  • to listings from the trade site, most of it waiting for pathofexile.com
  • installer, and nothing else to install

Why you can trust it

  • No ads

The whole app is free: no banners, no paid features, no subscription.

  • No account

Prices need no sign-up and no sign-in to pathofexile.com. Signing in is up to you, for private leagues for example.

  • Updates itself

New versions of the app and new data about the game's items install by themselves, and only checked ones: the app makes sure the developer made them and they arrived whole. While any of the app's windows is open, the update waits; after the restart, a plate over the game says so.

    How it works

  • Collects nothing about you

The app collects nothing about you or your play. Online, it talks only to the Path of Exile trade site, GGG's server of pictures and exchange data, the poe2scout site and oracle.pushka.biz: for updates and to deliver your messages. oracle.pushka.biz counts installations, starts and updates as anonymous numbers: no address or id is kept.

    Details

  • A direct line to the developer

Write to the developer right from the app: it sends your text and, if you like, the item's text or details of how the app ran that help find a bug. After a crash, the message window opens by itself on the next start. No account needed.

Questions

Does it change the game or read its memory? Can I get banned?

No, it changes neither the game nor its files, and it doesn't read the game's memory. PoE2 Oracle copies an item's text with the game's own Ctrl+Alt+C, as you would, and draws its own windows over the game. The log file the game keeps, it only reads, for the XP overlay; GGG's rules for developers allow that.

The same rules ask macros for one action per key press, and one chat message or command counts as one action. That's how the quick actions work: one press, one command.

But GGG officially approves no third-party tool, this one included, so no one can promise you won't be banned. GGG's rules for developers

Is it really free? Any ads?

Yes, it's free, and there are no ads: no banners, no paid features, no subscription.

Does it work with the Russian client?

Yes. PoE2 Oracle reads items from the English and Russian clients and searches the English or the Russian trade site to match. The Craft of Exile link works from the Russian client too.

The app speaks English and Russian: your game client's language, or Windows' until the game has run once. Interface language in the settings changes it.

Is it heavy on my PC? Will the game slow down?

Hardly: while you play, PoE2 Oracle puts less load on the CPU than other price checkers, uses of memory after launch and runs as one process. The comparison and how it was measured

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is it a virus?

No. Windows warns about new programs without a digital signature this way, and PoE2 Oracle's installer doesn't have one yet. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. No administrator rights needed.

PoE2 Oracle is seeking a signature from SignPath Foundation, which signs open-source projects for free; how releases are built and approved: the code signing policy. How to check that the file came through whole: see the install guide.

Do I need an account or to sign in to pathofexile.com?

No. Prices need no sign-up and no sign-in: the app searches the trade site as any visitor does. Signing in is up to you, for private leagues for example; the app never sees your password.

Does it collect data about me? What does it send over the internet?

Nothing about you or your play. Online, the app talks only to the Path of Exile trade site, GGG's server of pictures and exchange data, the poe2scout site and oracle.pushka.biz: for updates and to deliver your messages to the developer. oracle.pushka.biz counts installations, starts and updates as anonymous numbers: no address or id is kept.

Without signing in, nothing in those requests points to you, apart from your IP address, as with any request on the internet. Privacy in detail

Does it work in Fullscreen mode?

No: over exclusive Fullscreen, Windows shows no other programs' windows. In the game's graphics options, choose Windowed Fullscreen: the game still fills the whole screen.
